Who we are
Michigan Mergers and Acquisitions Group is a student-led organization focused on exploring the skills required to succeed in investment banking. Our mission is to provide members with hands-on experience in mergers and acquisition analysis, financial forecasting, and sales strategies, preparing them for careers in investment banking and other areas of high finance.
The MMAG Structure
-
There will be 4 education sessions every semester. They will include accounting, DCF, M&A merger models, and LBO. All members can go to these sessions, and it’s highly encouraged that new members and underclassmen attend them to get a technical understanding of general finance and feel prepared to work in our pitch decks and better perform in the banking space.
-
Active members will be placed in industry groups. Each group is assigned 3 portfolio companies and can decide whether to sell, merge, or acquire. These pitches will happen weekly during our general meetings.
-
Michigan M&A hosts regular social events so members can network and have a good time collectively. These events help MMAG feel like a place where everyone is welcomed, and forms a strong bond for all its members.
